Minecraft Server Hosting Built for Operators

Glasshouse offers dedicated Minecraft server hosting for communities that have outgrown budget providers. We don't market "unlimited" resources we can't actually deliver. Every plan specifies exactly how much CPU and RAM your server gets — and that's what you get, with no contention from neighbouring servers on the same node. At $2.50/GB/month, our pricing is honest: mid-premium quality at a competitive price point.

Why Paper is the Best Choice for Most Servers

Paper Minecraft hosting is our most-deployed configuration. Paper is a high-performance fork of Spigot that adds significant optimisations for chunk loading, entity tracking, and tick performance. For most servers above 20 players, Paper delivers meaningfully better performance under load and is compatible with the vast majority of Bukkit/Spigot plugins. All our Minecraft plans support Paper as a first-class option.

Forge and Fabric Modpack Hosting

Running a Forge modpack requires more RAM and careful startup configuration. We recommend at least 6 GB (our Popular plan at $15/mo) for most modpacks, and 10 GB+ for heavy packs like ATM9 or All The Mods 8. Our panel lets you customise JVM flags, startup arguments, and install modpacks directly from CurseForge. Fabric modpack hosting is also fully supported — Fabric's lightweight architecture often means lower RAM requirements for equivalent functionality compared to Forge.

Minecraft Bedrock Hosting for Cross-Play

Minecraft Bedrock server hosting lets players on Windows, mobile (iOS/Android), and consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) all connect to the same world. This dramatically expands your potential player base compared to Java-only servers. Our Bedrock support includes full Pterodactyl panel integration.

Low Latency for Minecraft

Minecraft is latency-sensitive. High ping causes rubber-banding, delayed block interactions, and a degraded experience. Our infrastructure uses high-frequency CPUs and clean network routing to keep ping low and ticks consistent. We don't throttle clock speeds or oversell CPU cores across excessive server counts.

Offsite Backup and Restore

Accidents happen — griefing, bad plugin installs, and world corruption are part of operating a Minecraft server. Our offsite backup system runs automatically on a schedule and stores copies off your server node. Restoring is a single click from the panel. No need to contact support to recover your world.

FAQ

Common Questions

How many players can I support?+

It depends on your game mode and plugins. The Starter (2 GB) handles 10–15 players on vanilla or lightly-modded survival. The Popular (6 GB) handles 30–50 players on Paper with plugins. The Performance (8 GB) is solid for 60–100+ players or standard modpacks. The Pro (12 GB) suits large networks or heavy modpacks.

Can I install custom plugins and mods?+

Yes. The Pterodactyl file manager lets you upload any plugins, mods, or configuration files. The built-in modpack installer supports popular CurseForge and Modrinth packs directly.

Can I switch between Paper, Fabric, and Forge?+

Yes. You can reinstall your server with a different platform at any time from the panel. We recommend backing up your world before switching server software.

Is there a free trial?+

We don't currently offer a free trial, but all plans are month-to-month with no contracts. If the service doesn't meet your expectations you can cancel before the next billing cycle for a full refund of unused time.

Do you support Minecraft network setups (BungeeCord / Velocity)?+

Yes. You can run BungeeCord or Velocity proxy servers on any plan. For large networks with multiple backend servers, contact our sales team for a multi-server setup discussion.
