Install path (verify checksum first)

1. Download glassgamepanel-wings-free-v0.1.0-linux-amd64.tar.gz and SHA256SUMS from the Release page. Prefer the Release assets over random mirrors.
2. Verify integrity before any install:

4. Preflight checks OS, arch, ports, and disk. Refuse exits non-zero with a clear branded message; it never silently substitutes a GlassHosting URL.
5. Install Wings on PASS: ensure Docker is present (game containers need it), install the Wings binary to the standard path, write a branded systemd unit, and enable it. Day-one config paths follow upstream familiarity unless Release notes say otherwise.
6. Enroll only YOUR_PANEL_URL + YOUR_NODE_TOKEN from your free GlassGamePanel. DIY-only. Missing, invalid, or refused remotes fail closed.
7. Healthcheck until the daemon is up, the local Wings API responds, and the node shows online on your panel (install-only / enroll-later may warn — that is expected if you split the steps).
8. Sandbox a server on your node only; prove console live output, a trivial file upload via the panel file manager, and a stop/start power cycle. That closes the day-one “it works on my metal” loop.

Refuse policy (plain language)

The free installer is designed to fail closed if you try to enroll production GlassHosting panel URLs or GlassHosting-managed servers you do not own. That is intentional product behavior, not a bug. Fix the URL/token paste and point only at a panel you operate. Do not ask the installer to “just use” a GlassHosting production endpoint — it will refuse.
