Before friends join

  1. Order and wait for panel provisioning after payment.
  2. Accept EULA (eula=true) if required.
  3. Confirm Java vs Bedrock edition matches your group.
  4. Set difficulty, gamemode, max players.
  5. Enable whitelist; add exact usernames.
  6. Create a named backup before any mods/plugins.
  7. Share only the panel join string—never SFTP passwords.

Definition of done

Server starts clean, two players join, whitelist works, and a fresh backup exists. If any checkbox fails, fix before opening the gates wider.
